Conversation with Leo was never boring and always revealing. His sense of humor kept his grandchildren giggling and his students on the edge of their seats.
Until the end of his life, Leo continued to travel back and forth from New York to Israel … a grueling trip for someone his age. It’s not clear whether he ever really felt at home.
He was a young boy who was forced from his home, and a grown man who re-established a wonderful life.
